Wild tree seeds spread the introduction and cultivation of tea trees to new locations. The hill tribes led by a Hmong man welcomed us with fermented tea and rice.

Due to a large storm approaching, we docked at an unfamiliar island. A tea master with an elephant showed us around the spice island. We were amazed by the abundance of spices, coconuts and tea plantations. A paradise we will soon visit again.

The last leg of the journey brought us breath-taking volcanic scenery, which lead us to the slopes of cocoa plantations. Surprised by the unique flavours, we traded all of our spices to a local villager who offered us his produce in return.
